A tragic traffic accident claimed the life of a man Thursday morning in the province of San Cristóbal, causing widespread shock among local residents. The victim was identified as Pablo Rosario Sánchez, a 39-year-old man who lost his life in a violent collision that occurred on one of the main roads in the municipality.
According to authorities, the accident took place around 7:15 a.m. when the vehicle in which Pablo was traveling collided with another car under circumstances that are still under investigation. Witnesses of the incident claim that the impact was so strong that the victim’s body was trapped between the twisted metal of the vehicle.
Members of the 9-1-1 Emergency System arrived at the scene minutes after the crash, but sadly, the man showed no vital signs at the time of extraction. His body was transported to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the necessary procedures.
Pablo Rosario’s body will be laid to rest at his home in the Las Flores sector, and the funeral is expected to take place this Friday at the municipal cemetery. The family has requested privacy during this time of deep sorrow.
This tragedy has once again raised alarms about the urgent need to improve road education and ensure stricter measures on the roads. “We cannot continue losing lives like this. Every day that passes, a Dominican family is devastated by an accident that could have been prevented,” said a community representative from San Cristóbal.
