Joke of the day

The owner sighs and shakes his head.

“Remarkable? No, not really,” he says. “This is the second time this week he’s forgotten the bread!”

The customer can’t believe his ears. “Wait… you mean this dog shops for you all the time?”

“Every single day,” the owner replies, taking the bag from the dog’s mouth. “He knows the butcher, the baker, even the newspaper stand. But…” — he glares at the dog — “he STILL forgets half the list! Last week he came home with steak, chops, even sausages… but no milk. The week before? He brought everything but the eggs.”

The customer laughs in disbelief. “That’s still the smartest dog I’ve ever seen!”

The owner shrugs. “Smart, sure. But lazy and forgetful. I keep telling him — if he really wants to impress me, he’ll learn how to cook the steak too.”
