They say the best meals come from the simplest ingredients — and my grandmother’s recipe is living proof.
This dish is creamy, cheesy, and so flavorful that everyone at the table will ask for seconds. It’s ready in minutes and perfect for busy evenings.
Here’s how she made it 👇
🧂 Ingredients:
- 400g minced beef (or any ground meat)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 300ml tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
- Salt, pepper, and paprika to taste
- 200ml heavy cream or béchamel sauce
- 200g shredded mozzarella or cheese mix
- 6–8 lasagna sheets (no need to pre-cook if oven-ready)
- A touch of butter for greasing the dish
👩🍳 Directions:
- In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until golden. Add garlic, then the minced beef.
- Cook until browned, then pour in the tomato sauce. Add salt, pepper, and paprika. Let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes.
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer as follows: lasagna sheet → meat sauce → béchamel → cheese. Repeat until you reach the top.
- Finish with a layer of cheese and a drizzle of cream for that golden crust.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbling and golden.
🔥 Result:
A soft, creamy, perfectly layered dinner that smells like heaven and tastes even better. The top becomes beautifully golden, the middle melts together, and every bite feels like comfort.
Serve it with a simple salad or a slice of bread — and watch it disappear faster than you can say “dinner’s ready!”
