Joke of the Day: The Postcard That Sent a Wealthy Man Straight to the Floor

A wealthy married man had been carrying on an affair with an Italian woman for quite some time. Everything was going smoothly — until one evening, she nervously confessed, “I’m pregnant.”

Panicking, the man realized his perfect double life was about to collapse. To protect his marriage and reputation, he came up with a plan. He offered her a generous sum of money and suggested she move back to Italy to have the baby in secret.

“I’ll send you financial support every month,” he promised. “But I need to know when the baby is born.”

The woman agreed and asked how she should let him know. Thinking quickly, he said, “Just send me a postcard with the word ‘Spaghetti’ written on it. That’s all. I’ll understand, and I’ll handle the rest.”

Months passed, and life went back to normal — until one day, his wife walked into the living room holding a postcard. “This came from Italy,” she said, confused. “It’s quite strange.”

Trying to hide his nervousness, he snatched the card from her hand. “Ah, probably a joke from one of my business friends,” he said, forcing a laugh. But as soon as he looked at it, the color drained from his face, and he collapsed right there on the floor.

The postcard read:
“Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti — Two with meatballs, one without.” 🍝
